Jeremy Mifsud - You Can Still Save My Corpse from Sinking
Updated: Mar 25, 2020
He tossed my corpse. I float. Fish nibble on my rotting flesh. Open wounds bleed into the open sea.
He got away with rape.
Don’t let my body sink onto the urchin seabed. I deserve a funeral. Retrieve my corpse and take me there.
I’ve left behind all the songs I wish to be played.
He wasn’t stopped. He wasn’t punished.
Stop washing your guilt into the sea; save my corpse instead.
